I had chosen this hotel because it was central and had very good reviews and offer value for money. However, I soon realised they were very judgemental as I was with my brother, who lives locally and presents as a free spirit person. On arrival I offered to pay for the 3 night stay but I was told to pay at the end of my stay. On the first morning of our stay, a Sunday morning at 9am, we were woken up by the strong sound of 2 police officers in plain clothes who were knocking on the door. I was shocked by this and asked what was happening 😳 then they told me that they were taking my brother to sort out a diligence. I was left unsure of what was happening and why or how long they would keep him. Luckily, by 12pm he was back in the hotel, but he realised the police had kept his wallet with the keys and bank cards. I was left thinking why they had to do that on a Sunday morning when they knew ww were staying until Tuesday. I also later found out from my brother that they wanted him to attend a court hearing on a driving offence that happened months ago. Then sudenly the hotel decided to take the money. From there on, I didn't really trust them.I asked them how the police knew we were at the hotel and why they didn't call us to come to reception. I was told that they always share information with the police on all the guests staying at their hotel. Furthermore, they said this is a normal procedure for hotels to inform the police on the identity of their guests.

Nice and clean rooms. Great location. Approachable staff Need to improve: sustainable internet connection. The hotel stops using AC as of Oct which is not optimal since the Neighborhood is noisy in case we open the window. The acoustics and isolation of the noise - you can hear noise from one room to another, and no way to close the door without making a big noise
