Receptionist was friendly, but clearly overworked. She appeared to be doing laundry, checking people in, answering phones, bartending, and who knows what else. Also, the view from our room was of a pile of dirt. Meanwhile, the lake is on the other side. It would have been way better to have a view of the lake. Breakfast was put out and forgotten about. No one came to restock, clean up, or check on anything. Many containers were empty. Probably because there were no dedicated breakfast staff. We wanted to sit out by the fire but were told "it's not working right now." It's sad that a hotel that has such potential to be nice can't be because of running with a skeleton crew. Also, our room only had one chair. Two would have been better.

It was a fairly new hotel and though not luxurious, it was an okay place to sleep. I do not feel like it was worth what we paid, though. And the $100 deposit at check in to use a debit card is ridiculous. I was told it's because they have been screwed over so many times since they opened - but they were literally just built last year! Breakfast was a typical hotel meal but it wasn't bad. Just nothing spectacular.
