After several attempts to contact the host, I just drove to the house and rang the doorbell (Ring). She finally answered and asked who I was, I have my name and she asked, ‘Who are you?’ I told her that I had paid & reserved a room. She said oh yeah, okay, well we’re out of town, hold on let me call you back in 5 minutes. She ended up just telling me to wait a sec and then gave me the code. When I walked in, I was quite taken aback. When you’re use to a certain way of living, this will definitely shock you. Buy I digress, the carpet needed vacuuming all the way to the room. There were pillows strewn all over the floor, it smelled like it needed to be aired out. When I finally got to my studio, I was like thank God. It was better. It looked just like the photo. I dropped off my luggage, used the restroom and left to start my college homecoming festivities. I returned at 11:30p. Went to the restroom and the toilet didn’t flush. Then I tried to wash my hands and there was no water. I was like you’ve got to be kidding me. I sent a text to the host who did not respond. In Hampton, hotels are sold out months in advance for homecoming. So I just waited until early the next morning to move to a friend’s VRBO. I still hadn’t heard from the host all that day. I had left her a message telling her that I would be leaving and not returning because she had not responded. And she did not respond until I texted her via personal phone & VRBO upon my return to Texas. And then accused me
