My stay was a nightmare! I'm yet to lodge my complaint with Hotels.com about my experience. I booked an ensuite single room. This was confirmed and worked out to £75.00 per night. To my shock upon my checking in. I was accommodated in a communial room packed with 3 layered bunk-beds! And when I furiously refuted this arrangement, I was told that is what was booked by Hotels.com. There's no privacy what so ever! the room is mixed gender. We were definitely dehumanised that's for sure. And when I asked the reception staff how much were these inhumane rooms per night they refused to give me even rough estimation. But luckily one guest was very helpful by tell me that it cost her £39.00 per night in these domitories! she even encouraged me to query this. Finally, I wouldn't recommend anyone to even book these dormitories where guests are treated like animals, not even prisoners are remotely treated like this. I was totally motified to think in this day and age people could be subjected to this. It is a scandal to put it blunt. I will definetly get to the bottom of this. i need to be refunded my money without delay.

We got a small cozy room with en-suite bathroom. It was neat. The hotel is mainly a hostel with a very few rooms with en-suite . But given the high cost of hotel rooms in Edinburgh in August , the price of this room was good . Can’t complain . Breakfast is provided by a restaurant opposite to the hotel .
