The property was conveniently located within walking distance to all Girona sites. The downstairs/lobby area of the property smelt very strongly of sewage (to the point of having to cover your nose when you walk in). Our room was smelt strongly of air freshener upon arrival but as the air freshener wore off, the smell of sewage filled our room. The smell of sewage was strong enough in the bathroom that we had to constantly leave the door shut. The sheets were very clean but the blanket on the bed looked very dirty.

The hotel is very convenient for Girona centre and if you are travelling by train or bus the stations are only a short walk away. The Europa is a small traditional hotel , the room was small but quite adequate with a large wardrobe, desk and comfy chair. The bed was comfortable and instead of the usual duvet there was a blanket and cover. Lots of restaurants nearby. We will stay again.
