I would recommend a stay here for the fabulous central location. The room was clean and check in instructions were very clear. Please be aware there was no reception as such, but if needed you can leave your luggage at the bar next door, and there were emergency contacts listed. We didn't need any of this but good to know. There were a couple of bottles of water in the room and some discount vouchers, all of which were an unexpected bonus. The kitchenette was handy if you wanted to make a drink or heat up a microwave meal. The only downside was the noise from the bar below, however earplugs were provided. We had to keep the windows closed but a large fan was in the room so the heat wasn't a big issue. Excellent value for money for a clean, comfortable room in a great location.

Great little hostel in the middle of york. The street is very busy and lined with bars. There was loud music until late which we could hear but didn't effect us too much as our room was at the back in the city walls room. Very clean and comfortable and what we expected from the price paid. A much cheaper option than other hotels but I wouln't recommend if youwant an ealy night!
