The staff are very good. The hotel is clean. BUT The neighborhood felt unsafe. There was trash around the block, and someone I spoke with at a nearby restaurant said he and his aunt were mugged in broad daylight but the cops intervened in time. That concerned me as I had my little dog with me and had to be outside walking her, sometimes in the dark.

The room was fine and cleaning staff were very good. The reason for the poor review is that I was trapped in an elevator that malfunctioned. I used the emergency phone in the elevator to call the command center and they had to dispatch an elevator technician to come. They said I would have to wait an hour and a half for the tech to arrive. I asked the dispatcher to contact the fire department to see if they could arrive sooner. The did and the fire department came to the rescue The hotel staff took along time to even come to the elevator to inform me that the fire department was dispatched. I was trapped for more than a half hour. To add insult to injury the hotel offered to add points to my Bonvoy account. In the end they provided a small credit to me bill upon checkout. This is not how a quality hotel chain should treat their customers.
