Lots to love about this place: 1) Location- Santa Croce is an AMAZING beautiful area- central yet not too touristy and crowded and you’re 5 mins walk from all the historical attractions like the Palazzo Vecchio. 2) Tower Suite - This suite has a quirky tower that you walk up which takes you to a cool viewing gallery with incredible views of all the most famous landmarks in Florence. It’s super romantic. 3) Great staff & service- whether it’s getting your car into a parking lot or giving us new towels and toiletries they were good and efficient. 4) Smells great- It’s the best smelling hotel I’ve ever stayed in thanks to the beautiful perfume shop - Flor - in the same building - so the hotel has divine defusers dotted around making the place smell beautiful & luxurious while remaining subtle & not overpowering. However, there are some minor things that cumulatively hold it back from being a 5 star experience: 1) Bathroom- The shower cubicle leaks a bit and the silicone work around the edges was kind of botched. It’s unsightly and is an easy fix they need to address. Also there’s no tray for toiletries in the shower- so you have to put the shampoo and shower gel on the floor. 2) Light- The light system looks modern but it’s fiddly and the lights from the buttons stay on all night. 3) Tower heating- this doesn’t work so if you get cold you can’t stay up here for long. 4) Basic breakfast If they fixed these things it would be 5 stars all day. I’d still recommend & stay again!

We had the Tower Suite for 3 nights and then spent 2 more nights in a regular room. Fantastic views of Florence from the private tower 53 steps up! Very cool elevator too!

The room and the facility were generally fine but the air conditioning was set at too low a range to be able to cool the room. It was fairly hot all night.
