The staff were really good with an exceptional personal touch. They knew me by name, not room number. My husband was unwell on the first night and I had dinner on my own, the next day they put themselves out to ask after my husband and that ment a lot. Lovely hotel seeped in history and the choice of decore certainly doesn’t let the property down. The museums were closed due to refurnisment so gives us a very good reason to return. Lovely

Nice hotel just needs ripped wallpaper replaced ,hallways looked shabby.Room just ok, no wardrobe just a hook on a very squeaky bathroom door.Wasnt told our room key also unlocked main front door so was locked out for 10 minutes at 11.45pm.Staff nice & breakfast very tasty .Gardens also nice
