The cabins are located a few feet from the gates of Mount Rainier National Park. Entrance is visible from the property. The main inn has an on-site store and souvenir shop. A small refrigerator and microwave are included in the cottages at the Gateway Inn & Cabins. The cottages are located away from the main building of the inn. The Gateway offers access to skiing, fishing and hiking. Paradise Mount Rainer is 17 miles from the inn. Long Mire is 6 miles away and offers hiking and recreation center.

The place is very nice, but it is very dirty. The bed had someone else's hair. It was very dirty. The bed is not comfortable at all. It needs a little updating. The staff is very friendly!!

I arrived at 5:10 to the property. My husband & I took our bags in & were going to freshen up before going to dinner. We both used the restroom, the room was freezing, he seen trash next to the bed. I looked & seen it, so i pulled the covers back as well to check the bed. The comforter had stains like it had not been washed. It looked like semen, on the under blanket there was hair and pulled that & the top sheet down & moved the pillows, upon doing so seen rat poop. After that looked under the bed by where the trash had been (I took a video & pictures) my husband moved the bed & my lord! Tons of rat poop & more garbage. Like it ate through sugar packets. Also on the dresser next to tv coffee grounds were all over. There was no service to contact the front desk. Connected to the “wifi” that had no connection.we loaded our things back up stopped by the front desk nobody there, once I got service I called and spoke to the gentleman who left me a message earlier in the day about leaving the key for me. Expressed everything and told him I just wanted to be refunded & I could send in the videos & pictures. He was a but aggressive & wanted me to go back, I had him on speaker (my husband heard him & said it was weird). By this time we were 40 mins away driving closer to our destination. Ultimately the guy on the phone said I didn’t pay him so I had to go through hotels.com. I did but wanted to let the property know prior. So currently waiting on a resolution.
