I first stayed at this Home2 in downtown Birmingham shortly after it was built in 2017 and I've stayed there since because we liked it. It is convenient to UAB. However, I must say our visit this time was completely disappointing. It reminded me of on of those cheap roadside motels that we stayed at many years ago. 1. The bathroom sink was rusted and dirty around the grout areas. 2. The shower would not shut off and it's levers operated improperly. 3. The refrigerator had water running from underneath it completely across the entryway and into the bathroom. Perhaps from a defrost cycle. (It took some of our linens to soak it up.) 4. The couch was stained and stank of body odor. 5. Wires for the TV were piled in a tangled mess on the cabinet, with no effort to manage them. 5. There was a general feel of disrepair throughout the room. Yes we told the cleaning supervisor on the floor and the front desk upon checkout.
