Seemed strange set up on checking in asking for ID although we weren't from outside the UK ? Strange. Cheap and decent location for one night near town centre and bus / train stations

Parts of the hotel I saw were tired, holes in the carpet, poor repairs. My room was clean, the bathroom was not so good - paint flaking off the walls from damp, dead spiders. Didn't expect much for the price I paid, but think I could have paid less. Signs everywhere telling you to pay for parking, so whilst in the carpark before checking in. Entering the hotel there were another 2 signs saying you must pay for parking at the start of your stay, to then be told at the front desk I didn't need to pay - slightly annoying.
