The hotel is right in the town centre so excellent location, the city parking is literally 100 M away, there is limited parking at the hotel. We had a 2 night stay booked, could not get into the hotels secure car park so had to leave our motorcycles in the public car park which was not ideal. After a day on the bikes with temperatures reaching 38 degrees, we were looking forward to a cool hotel and a cool shower. We managed the cool shower but as the hotel was not air conditioned we could not really cool down so had quite an uncomfortable night and moved on the next day.

Terrible stay. Poor room condition. The carpet was filthy. Baseboards grimy like they hasn’t been cleaned in years. There was a portable AC unit that needed to be plugged in next to the bed and made so much noise we couldn’t sleep. It was so hot and humid that we spent the night drenched in sweat. Wardrobe had only 2 hangers and extra pillows were piled on the floor. Staff was disorganized and uninformed. Worst part was we had come from very far for a once in a lifetime experience to see the Tour de France and as we were at the race we got a call from the hotel saying we had to come back straight away and move our car or it would be blocked in indefinitely because they had promised the whole garage to a large group. This after just that morning assuring us we could leave it, with our luggage in it, until 7pm or later. It was a 20 minute walk back to the hotel so we had to miss the awards ceremony and the chance to go to the team busses and see our favorite riders up close, so we could rush back to the hotel. Spoiled the day and they had nothing to say for themselves.
