We booked this hotel at the last moment on our way back home. What a fantastic place. The level of service was some of the best we had seen for ages. The quality of food deserves a Mechlin star or two. In particular, and I’m guessing he was the head waiter helped us both with the menu without being condescending. His suggestions were spot on. Yes it is a little expensive but you get what you pay for and much more.

This hotel was a last, last minute booking. We arrived at our originally booked hotel to find it had the air of a knocking shop and so cancelled on the spot. Did a search on Expedia and found the Relais du Silence an hour away with a family room available. Reserved via Expedia and then drove over to the hotel . Staff were very attentive on check in. The family room was 2 rooms with interconnecting door. Very good. The hotel restaurant is very good quality. It's not the cheapest but the food was superb.
