Clean room - great breakfast

We had a basement room. The only window opened into a passage so there was no fresh air and the room was stuffy. The furniture was basic and very worn. The dressing table top was water damaged and looked a mess. The bed was not on castors or legs. There was a counter top fridge on the floor. There was a lot of noisy footsteps from the rooms above. I would not call it a full English breakfast as it only consisted of sausage, fried eggs and beans. They don’t do bacon or mushrooms. However, the cereals were kelloggs. While the room was not up to my standard, it was clean. The staff were friendly and the location was good. I would have expected a little more for my money.

Good location 20min walk to the start of the high street and 25-30mins to Selfridges and other shops. Great location to go with the tube or trains from Paddington station that was about a 5min walk.
