This is a nice place to stay on Rügen. The island itself is well worth a visit and the Spyker castle, refurbished as a hotel, is at a pleasant country location. Maintenance has fallen a little behind here and there, but nothing very disturbing. BE AWARE you need to call the hotel if you'll arrive later than 8pm.

Comfortable hotel. Great restaurant. Friendly staff. Nice breakfasts included. If you're staying on the top floor, pack light. No joke. No elevator. It's a castle. If you're on the ground floor, public bathrooms are on every 'other' floor. Not so convenient for everyone. Great quad workout going up and down the stairs.
