I do not recommend this Hampton Inn. The property is not in good condition and feels very old. The first room I was assigned smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and water damage. The desk moved me to a second room, which then smelled like dirty feet and a locker room. The housekeeping came once during my time there. All they do is empty trash and place new towels in the bathroom- they don’t make the beds, which I found quite odd. On the second night of my stay, the people staying in the room next door were incredibly loud, screaming and yelling until 2am. I called the front desk two different times regarding the noise. The desk attendant asked the people to quiet down, but they never did. Finally, the fire alarm continuing went off throughout the stay. One evening it went off in the very early morning for 30+ minutes, forcing everyone to leave the building at 4am and stand outside in the cold to wait for the alarm to be fixed.

There was no clerk at the front desk to greet me when I arrived to check in. I had to ask for service, instead. The room was comfy, however. The breakfast service wasn't up to par. The food (except the hot waffles) tasted like that they were a day old, including the juices from the juice dispenser. This would probably not be the best hotel to stay at, if you plan to visit North Jersey.
