My boyfriend and I love staying at the Star Motel! The staff is wonderful, and I love that the parking lot and the room feels so secure. The rooms are always clean and well-decorated, too. Super convenient location, and the staff is always kind and helpful!

Good place to stay for a quick trip. Parking was good, the staff let us stay parked after the checkout time. The location is better than I initially thought. Reasonable distance to Hyde Pier, Lombard St twisty part, the Presidio and more. You can catch the cable car at the top of Lombard too if you want an uphill climb to start your day. Coffee Berry up the street was really good, and there are many unassuming businesses, like a little market, around to support. The room was clean, had some bumps and damage, and there was no soundproofing. But it's a good spot anyway.
