For a taste of history, take the short drive to Old Town Albuquerque. Founded in 1706, many of Old Town's historic buildings and homes have been converted into small restaurants and unique shops. Albuquerque has become known for its interest in hot air balloons. If you're here during the fall, you can check out the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is about a mile from the residence. If you're visiting Albuquerque during the right time of year, try catching an event at the Santa Ana Star Center, 21 miles from the residence. Entertainment featured here throughout the year includes concerts, shows, hockey games, musicals and Oktoberfest.
