The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the feel of the hotel is like your in Mexico. The hotel is really close to the only grocery store in town, Vons. Found out there is an old part & more modern part of the hotel. The old part where we stayed the rooms are small but quant, large/tall people should stay in the modern part of the hotel which is more expensive with better views of the city. You also have to be able to walk up hill some to get to the hotel & up stairs to get to the rooms, would not recommend to elderly or disabled people to stay. The older part of the hotel is over 100 years old, so it has a vintage feel and remember everything was built smaller from those days & could use a few more modifications. We enjoyed our stay overall but if we stayed again it would be in the modern part of the hotel that was built 25 years ago.

If planning to stay and use kitchen keep in mind no toaster is available even though in shows in the ad. They have 3 cooking pots and only one cooking utensil.

At first I was a little hesitant to book this hotel only due to the location in the pictures but I'm glad I did. The hotel was clean inside, easy quick check-in, a beautiful patio surrounded by lovely plants. Staff was present daily, keeping the area clean and tidy. The location of the hotel was even better. Far away enough from the busy streets of Avalon but a close walk to through the little town. I will definitely be back!
