The location is unbeaten if you are visiting Temple University, as we were. The historic look of the building is also charming. These are the only positives I found in our stay. The room we got assigned smelled terribly musty and, upon inspection, we found hairs in the bed. The night manager was kind and moved us immediately to another room that was cleaner and with a better smell (still with some smell though). We had to spend only one night and we arrived at night, so we stayed. But I’m not going to book this hotel again, unless it gets a complete indoor makeover.

Staff was very nice and helpful, but my room had water damage. The toilet was dirty and not been cleaned. There was blood spots on the carpet. In general, not a “boutique” hotel as described. Was up all night, thinking that I was getting bit by bugs in the bed.
