We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July. We were shown to our bedroom at the end of a corridor. After the door there are 2 steps up to the accommodation level but no further door beyond these steps. During the night my wife woke up to go to the bathroom. As there was no lighting, and she was in an unfamiliar environment, she mistook the space above the steps to be the entrance to the bathroom. She fell down both steps and hit her arm, knee and head very hard on the tiled floor. The noise from the fall was significant. She seemed to be unharmed other than severe bruising. The following morning I reported this to 2 people at reception and asked them to log the incident in case of repercussions and asked that they put night lights in the room. They did not seem very interested. Later in the day I asked the Duty Manager if the report had been recorded and it hadn’t. I also asked him to make sure it was logged. We left after 2 nights having not received any formal type of apology, no night lights were placed in the room and no one even came to the room to see if we were safe. On arrival in Spain my wife went to hospital for a head scan. Fortunately she seems to have escaped and serious effects. But this could very easily have been a fatal fall and the steps in question are clearly a hazard to life, health and safety.

Us and another couple (who booked through another web site) were turned away with confirmations. You have to call the "SMALL" hotels and be completely sure you have a room. We drove 3 hours to get turned away and was told by the front desk that it was "Not their problem"....they blamed it on Hotels.com. So i pulled up the app on my phone and they still showed 2 rooms available and again the front desk told me it was a Hotels.com problem not theirs...." SO...the hotel is getting referral fees from surrounding hotels while they keep their "SOLD OUT" rooms showing available. Hotels.com should ban them from this site. Complete idiots these people were.....Keep looking.
