When checking in I asked for the possibility to change to á room with a sea view, an option not offered on hotels.com. The gentleman on reception kindly arranged this for me. Reception was manned 24 hours a day and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and serviced daily. It was extremely comfortable. I felt more as if I were staying in a country house than an hotel. This I think, is due to the fact that it is a family run hotel with high standards. So much more pleasant than one of the chain hotels in my opinion. I am reluctant to praise it too much as I want to be sure of my room when I return, which I will do. Á gem of a hotel with the personal attention lacking in many modern hotels. Perfect !

As I said on check-in, this is a lovely old-fashioned family run hotel right on the beach. Reception manned 24/7, all staff helpful, friendly and efficient, free beach towels, nice breakfast, reliable wifi. Those in search of ultra-modern conveniences, who can't live without aircon or sleek contemporary decor, might not like it, but I loved it.
