Great motel! Owner is very kind and waited up until midnight do us to check in. Room was clean and slept like a baby! Highly recommend

It was like stepping into a 1955 Motel. It had the red neon light outside. The crown on the sign in the yard. An actual key to get into the room. A little table and chairs. Colored porcelain bath fixtures in blue, green, peach and pink depending on the room. An elongated bowl toilet would have been nice but would have ruined the ambience. Windows open to the front and back yard. Ours had 2 double size beds which was comfortable enough. The wallpaper, carpet and fixtures added to the 1955 vibe. Updates in our room included a newish cable TV, microwave and refrigerator. The new tub surround had tile which was unprofessionally installed. We felt safe. Things were clean and the water worked well and so there wasn't anything to complain about. No, it's not new and doesn't try to be. Coming from Mackinac City in the shoulder season, these prices were a little hard to swallow in comparison, but the local competition was quite a bit higher as well.
