Palazzo Failla is a restored historical building in the Medieval quarter of Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It offers elegant rooms and traditional Sicilian cuisine in its restaurant with courtyard. Throughout Hotel Palazzo Failla you can admire many of its original features, including frescoed ceilings and antique furniture. Rooms are air conditioned and feature free Wi-Fi and satellite and pay-per-view channels. The Locanda del Colonnello restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, serving traditional cuisine with a modern twist. Local produce is used, and an extensive wine list with 300 labels is available. In summer, dinner can be enjoyed in the courtyard. Staff organize cookery lessons, chocolate making and tasting sessions, plus excursions around Val di Noto. Every Saturday, the hotel holds a guided tour around Modica's historical center.

Staff were very helpful in parking our car and showing us to our room. But the room was dark, the bed was the hardest I’ve ever slept on, and the wifi was connected but exceptionally weak. And road noise on first floor was significant.

Excellent hotel the rooms and facilities are extraordinary beautiful, you feel steeped in history. The host is very very friendly and welcoming. Although there is a school next door we were not disturbed by noise at all. It’s about a 20 minute walk to down town which is challenging on the way back as it is up hill. We loved it ..
