Staff at check in were friendly, quick, and notified me of renovations at the hotel, and potential construction noise starting at 9am. Luckily I didn't hear anything as they were working on opposite end of hallway. My room, 303, on the top floor, was surrounded by several rooms being renovated on the floor, with plastic covering the carpet in hallway, some wall paper missing, and I was literally walking through a construction zone. That was a bit odd and I'd suggest closing a floor at a time instead. While I was able to see into some of the new rooms, which looked great, I found my room (not renovated) to be perfectly fine, furnishings were in good condition, and my King Suite with jetted tub was comfortable. The tub itself was a bit small, and while it was only 4 jets in the tub, they were powerful and it was very relaxing! My biggest gripe was breakfast ending early at 9am, especially on a Saturday morning. Breakfast itself was good, although by 8:30am, I got the last strip of bacon, and sadly they had run out of the tasty cinnamon rolls. No staff were present restocking in the last 1/2 hour. Really liked the new HIE coffee machines too! The room had lots of lighting, was clean, comfortable, especially the bed, and overall it was a great stay and great value. Food/restaurants and gas close by. One note regarding the shower, water pressure was great, gets very hot, but shower was a bit slippery.

This hotel is being remodeled, when we checked in the night attendant let me know this, we have stayed here before so I was ok with this. There was no actual work being done over the weekend that we stayed. It was odd seeing over half of the rooms empty and gutted. But I know it will be great once this has been completed

The hotel is under construction and really shouldn’t be open due to the conditions inside. We canceled as quick as we could once we got to our room.
