Check in was unacceptable. We arrived at 6 pm but the door was locked by the cleaner. Cleaning the room after the checkin in time of 5 pm is not right. Standard checkin time is usually 4 pm. Owner is not considerate if guests might be tired from a long flight or long drive.

Place has potential but the cover up for the lack of proper maintenance was obvious. Seemed a bit broken down ; from the TV remote to the blinds and vents looked damaged, etc. There were roaches found upon arrival and popping up throughout our stay which was extremely disappointing and disgusting because we were afraid to sleep and even bring in all our luggage. Not to mention, the maintenance of the place was not ok for the price; all the windows are broken and taped with a draft coming in if it’s cold and windy outside so you can not open the windows if you wanted to, the system to adjust the temperature was a disaster. The Communication times weren’t convenient to the help within the stay.

I was unable to check‑in due to several issues with the process and communication. When I arrived, I had no instructions about the check‑in procedure. The owner later explained that the process involved multiple steps with the condo concierge, a fob for the elevator, access to the parking garage, and additional steps to reach the unit. None of this information was provided in advance.Because the owner cannot see guest details through the booking system, I had no way to prepare for the check‑in requirements. I called the number provided, but the first person who answered did not speak English, and I waited several minutes before the owner came on the line. During the call, the owner requested the security deposit before answering my questions about how to access the property. After the deposit was paid, I spent about 30 minutes trying to understand the check‑in instructions, which felt very complicated and difficult to follow. In my opinion, the communication was rude, unprofessional and the process was far more complex than what I expected for a short‑term rental. I did not feel confident that I would be able to navigate the condo’s requirements or access the unit successfully, so I decided not to proceed with the stay and booked a hotel instead.I contacted Hotels.com for assistance, and after escalation, they refunded the cost of the booking. I never entered the apartment, but the security deposit was held for several days. Disgusting!
