The 3-star Hameau de Valloire tourist residence welcomes you at the foot of the famous Col du Galibier mountain pass. Valloire is a village resort that has managed to achieve a healthy balance between harmonious development, country life for its permanent residents and respecting the magnificent and enchanting natural landscape. In all apartments:• Kitchenette with a microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, ceramic hob, toaster, kettle and TV. • Bathroom with bath tub or shower and separate WC (except in the apartments equipped for persons withreduced mobility) and hairdryer. Highlights :• 1. 2 km of ski lifts, free shuttles every 30 minutes across from reception• Located 1. 2 km from the center of Valloire• Indoor heated pool available every day from 10 am to 7. 30 pm, except for Tuesdays from 12 pm to 7. 30 pmand Saturdays from 2 pm to 7 pm. • Wellness area with a sauna, hammam, fitness suite and squash court (free access). Accessible every day from5 pm to 7 pm. Had not been informed that this is more of an apartment rental than a hotel, and arrived at 10pm to find reception had closed at 8pm- there had been no warning of any closing times! Fortunately our apartment had been left open for us, but there were no sheets on any of the beds! The keys were not left in the apartment and we had to put a table against the door on the first night! Having managed to get sheets & towels the next day, we had to make up our own beds and after a 2 night stay were also expected to strip beds and clean the apartment- which was checked when we left! Had expected a hotel experience, not a do-it-yourself chalet! The pool was also not very welcoming- did not look clean. We were also charged a total of E51 on leaving (on top of the nightly fee we had signed up for) - for the use of sheets we think! So turned out to be not such a bargain. However, the scenery and the apartment itself were lovely- so made up for the eerie quietness of an out -of-season stay at a ski hotel! (Early Sept stay)
