We arrived expecting to wash laundry after our stay in Anchorage. We were told that it was closed due to water issues. We also found out that the facility- and entire area- was shutting down by the weekend. So while we had expected to buy food for daily breakfast, the stores were almost empty of food and we had to buy breakfast out every day. An unexpected expense. At minimum travelers should be notified when reservations are made that everything will be in the process of shutting down.

I was able to use the shuttle for the hotel across the street to get from and to the park... the staff was very nice... but the office closed at 8 and so in order to check in you had to be there before then. I was a little unsure about the quality of the water, due to the residue left in the "leak container" under the bathroom sink (the only running water in the cabin. It was right behind the "boardwalk" which was a great location :)
