A bucket list location and a bucket list hotel to match! Instantly relaxed when we arrived. Staff in all parts of the hotel can't do enough. The room was huge, everything in the mini bar except wine was complimentary and the furniture on the balcony was very comfortable so a very nice way to spend the end of the day on our private balcony with views to the lake and pool. Breakfast was good but not the best we'd had in Italy. We only had one night so glad we took the option of a self drive boat out onto the lake for an hour - the absolute highlight - and also an early morning swim in the heated pool. Also check out the spa/jacuzzi over the lake. Was very sad to leave this hotel. NB. Taxis to/from train station in Como are more expensive in this part of Italy: cost €23-29 for 12 min journey. Luckily Torno, the town that the hotel is in, isn't far from Como and has a pleasant harbour area too, as well as being on a quieter area of the lake. Enjoy!
