What a wonderful and convenient place to stay in Roanoke! Perfect location and beautiful hotel! Our daughter moved to Roanoke and we’ve been staying at a different hotel each time we visit. Parking wasn’t the most convenient, but not terrible and a very fair price. The only negative was we had counted on the 3 PM check-in that was given to us on the website. And while we were told that is the check-in time, rooms were not available until 4pm. The first lady we talked to wasn’t overly sympathetic, but once we went back and waited, everyone was very kind. This would be the only reason we might pause to book again especially if we have early dinner reservations as we typically do. It was a rush to get ready. But a beautiful hotel!

Parking was a pain as it wasn’t on property. It was in a parking garage a block away designated to the fourth and fifth levels. I didn’t feel safe having to walk through a parking garage by myself. It would have been nice to have the option of having someone take the bags up to my room. I would have been happy to tip them. The luggage cart was very hard to maneuver in and out of the elevator, and then through a set of narrow doors and then to the door of my room. The room was very clean and well appointed. There was a barking dog on my floor. I called the front desk to let them know, and they took care of it immediately. I chose to come downstairs for my morning coffee. It was absolutely awful. I am not overly picky about my coffee, but this was not even drinkable. The very nice lady who served me apologized and offered to make me a latte, which was very good and appreciated. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.

The Liberty Trust is located in an old bank and check-in is where the tellers would have been. That is also where the bar and breakfast are located. There is even a table in the vault. The staff were friendly and our room was large and comfortable. There was no on-site parking, but there was very inexpensive reserved parking in a garage nearby. You could see it from the entrance. Breakfast could have used a few more options and they should have had at least one more person staffing it. You could walk everywhere downtown.
