Positives... / Good location directly beside Alonso Martinez metro station. / Pleasant staff. / Good sized room (#406). / Great shower; size, water pressure and temp. / Double glazing and full height window shutters. / Coffee maker and complementary pods x 2. Negatives... / Aspects of the decoration were scruffy and tired looking. / Free mini bar just means 2 complementary bottles of water!

Perfect place to stay if you're doing the Madrid Movistar half marathon. The hotel staff were lovely and and very welcoming. Booked a Deluxe room which was at the front of the hotel - had a lovely view of the fountain and was impressed by how soundproofed the room was from the traffic noise. The room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed including little extras to make the stay luxurious. The hotel were kind enough to offer breakfast at an earlier time for runners on race day - great selection of hot breakfast, pastries, cereals, fruit, bread, gluten free options and refreshments (hot and cold). The hotel itself was a 10 minute walk to the start line. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants/cafes and bars within walking distance. Also have the metro station (Alonso Martinez) close by. Would definitely recommend and stay here again :).
