Set opposite Toledo Railway Station, this converted arms house dating from 1920 features rooms with free Wi-Fi. It is around 10 minutes’ walk from Toledo’s beautiful old town. Each simply decorated room at Princesa Galiana by Maxi Hoteles has seasonal air conditioning, and a private bathroom. There is a TV and a safety deposit box. Some rooms feature sloping ceilings. Restaurants, cafés and tapas bars can be found in the old town. Regular buses to the city’s Plaza Mayor stop outside the railway station. Madrid can be reached in 40 minutes by train. This hotel is right across the street from the train station. Front desk staff was helpful. We arrived early before our room was available so they checked our luggage for us. No frills at this hotel. There was a small restaurant area but it wasn’t open when we arrived. We didn’t spend much time in the room other than to rest. The bed was a little hard and the television was very small. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great. I’d stay here again if I’m in Toledo for a night.

My room was in the 2nd floor facing the main street opposite a bus station. I asked for a quiet room at the reception I checked in, but my request was not entertained even in the quiet season. I asked for a kettle for boiling water but I was given no assistance in this regard. The room was tidy and clean. However, the shower room was tight and there was no extraction fan in the bathroom. I was not reminded by the reception that the cafeteria did not serve lunch when I went out in the morning. In general, the standard of the hotel could have been lifted up without much extra efforts.
