I had mixed feelings about my stay. For the price paid, I expected a more comfortable and relaxing experience. My first issue was with the air conditioning. I prefer my room very cold, and while the thermostat showed that the temperature was being lowered, the room never actually felt cooler. At this price point, the AC should be strong enough to properly cool the room. The second issue was maintenance on the door locks early in the morning. Although we were notified at check-in, it was still frustrating to be woken up. Guests are paying to rest, and door maintenance should be scheduled between checkout and check-in hours. Checkout is at 11 AM and check-in is at 3 PM, so that seems like the appropriate window to handle work that could disturb guests. If guests are going to be inconvenienced, some type of discount, credit, or small accommodation would go a long way. Another issue was the indoor pool. It did not seem heated, which was disappointing. On top of that, guests using the pool were walking through the lobby and hallways soaking wet, creating a noticeable slip hazard. That being said, there were positives. The room itself was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk staff were polite and professional. Overall, the hotel had some good qualities, but the issues with the AC, early maintenance disturbance, and pool area took away from the experience.

Bath mat was worn out it . Used bath towel on the wet floor to prevent slip/fall. Mattress was pretty soft and carpet could use a cleaning in room and hall. Brkf ok. Milk container was heavy when full. Hope these comments give you some ideas because Hampton is usually our first choice.
