This property does not have elevators

The room was clean enough but there was a large crack in the toilet bowl and the bathroom sink did not drain. I'm glad we have only a small car as the the alley into the car park was very narrow but it was handy that there was an entrance straight from the car park into the hotel. The bed was a 300 year old four poster bed. It was beautiful but the mattress was long overdue needing to be replaced. There was a mattress topper but the old mattress just sank into the middle. I appreciate it's an old bed but it could be maintained and the mattress replaced to provide a comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast was continental style, lots of options including fresh fruit and pastries. Unfortunately the other guests had taken multiple plates piled high with food that we had to ask for a plate. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. I'd recommend the hotel as the location was excellent and the price was very reasonable, just don't stay in the four poster room if you want a good sleep.
