Step back in time by reserving a Zeigler room within the Historic Stone House Inn, an original wayside inn on the National Road that began operations in 1822. It's the perfect place to rest and get away while enjoying the Ohiopyle area. Located in the modern Zeigler wing. This jacuzzi suite has pillowtop queen mattress, reading lamps, plush lounge chair, flat screen cable television and private bath.

The location is central to many places in the area. The access to the room is through some ramshackle steps that made me wonder if they would hold up. The fixtures are from the 1990s. The hot tub has hot water, but minimal pressure. If you are expecting to be greeted by hotel staff, you won't. The continential breakfast is do-it-yourself coffee. Three stars.
